There are numerous good coastal walks from the cottage – you can walk to Whitehills from the marina while enjoying the rugged splendour of this coastline. Golfing, fishing boat trips, cycling are all readily available. Further afield there are many lovely villages along the coast, or further inland the Whisky and Castle trails offer stunning scenery.
Duff House, a magnificent Adam Mansion is about ¾ mile away, and the area hosts The Scottish Traditional Boat Festival in Portsoy (July), and The Coastal Visual Arts Festival is in Banff and Macduff (May).
